Great News!!

Hello to all! I finally got my letter saying that I have a job in the fall!!!! For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I'll explain. My position (all paraprofessionals) is considered 'seasonal' (for lack of a better term.) At the end of every school year we are fired and rehired in the fall. Usually we know by the last week of school about our jobs for September. This year, due to some budgeting issues, we were all given letters that said that our position was non-existing for the next school year and for us to contact HR to find out more. There were 7 para positions at the school I work for, but only 3 were returning in the fall. None of us knew who that would be. We've all been calling HR on and off all summer and keep getting the same answer: we'll know when they know and it might be into Sept. before that happened. It's been frustrating to say the least! Well, I got my letter on Saturday saying I have a position at the school, but exactly what I don't know. I'm going to talk to the principal soon and see what I can come up with. I don't think I'll be back in kindergarten, but at least I have a job. As soon as I know more, I'll let you all know.
We had a great camping trip last week, I'll try to get some pictures up soon. Talk to you later!

Airport Security Alerts

I don't know if anyone has seen the news about the panic at the airports over here today. Apparently they have arrested about 20 people after they discovered plans to blow up about 10 planes with some sort of liquid explosives carried in people's hand luggage.

They have now cancelled all flights in and out of some of the airports and the ones that are still going are having all kinds of strict rules about hand luggage and really long delays.

Well, unfortunately Jason is in Poland for work and due to fly back today! The airport he's flying into is one of the smaller ones, and so far the flights are all still going, but may be delayed. So hopefully he will still make it home today. Talk about bad timing!

Anyway, I just thought I would let you all know in case anyone wondered if we were affected at all.

Talk to you all later!

more pictures

Ok, ok, hint taken! I've been trying to get these pictures posted all day and this website is giving me a ton of shit, so I'm sorry it took me a while, but really it's not my fault!! So here's one of Erin's tattoo (if I don't post it you'll never see it, Erin never will!) and some other ones from our trip to New York. It was so much fun! It just went way too fast, it always does though doesn't it?

This is Erin's first tattoo!! Didn't it come out nice? She got it done all in brown, looks really cool.

This is all of our's together!

This is us having breakfast/lunch from Dunkin Donuts at the beach. Yummy!

This is me groping the Statue of Libery outside a shop in NY City. I just couldn't help myself!

I'll put some more pictures up another time, this is all I have patience for right now!

More Tattoo Pictures

Hi all! Heather, it looks like you all had a great time at the beach, wish I could have been there with you. I would have been helping to hold down the blanket with you! I don't like the water when it is really cold either.
I love your pictures of your tattoos! The lizards are great, something I have always loved. I have "Andy" on my leg (Em's sister Cindy named him for me!) I'll get Em to take a picture of him for those of you who haven't seen it, its on the outside of my left leg and I'll never get a picture myself. I did get a picture of my endless love knot. It was hard for me to take the picture, it's on my right wrist, and I kept forgetting to ask Em to do it for me. Talk to you later!!

Our day at the seaside...

Here are some more photos of my brood. We went up to a place on the coast called Cromer - it's one of the nicer beaches within a couple of hours drive. The weather was a bit cooler than it has been lately, but still warm enough for a swim. The kids really enjoyed themselves and it was a nice relaxing day for us all.

Here are Jason and the kids playing in the sea. I put my feet in, but the water was far too cold for me! (This is the North Sea after all!) Besides, someone had to guard the blanket and towels and take the pictures!

Shannon having a swim.

Liam warming up on the sand.

Here is a picture of my endless love knot - the one we all have alike. I must say, it's definitely one of my favorites!

And here is a picture of my newest one. The lizard closest to my toes I have had for a couple of years, but I decided he was a bit lonely, so gave him some babies! I just had it done yesterday, so it's a little tender, but I'm really happy with it. I only have one more that I know I want done at the moment, but I'm sure it won't be my last!

Hi all!

Angela, that sounds like a great time, I hope you all enjoy yourselves and I'm looking forward to hearing all about it.
Well, its been a crazy couple of weeks here. Not this past weekend, but the weekend before, Dad came to visit. I'm so glad he did. It had been 4 years since he saw the girls, and they have grown up a lot!!

We had a really nice visit, mostly just stayed home and chatted. We did get out to eat (of course!) and to the museum and the mall. It was just so nice to spend time with him.

Then this past weekend, I took the train into NY city on Friday and spent the weekend with Fayth and Erin. It was great! We went into the city on Saturday and walked around and did some shopping. We went to the museum and out to eat. We took a walk in Central Park and a taxi thru Times Square. All in all a really fun (but short) visit. I came home on Sunday. But I think the highlight of the trip was Erin got her first tattoo and I got another one. I don't have pictures, but Fayth does. I'm hoping that she'll put some up here. (hint hint!) Now Erin and I have the same endless love knot that Heather, Fayth and Mom have. I think that is so cool. I would love it if everyone would put a picture of theirs on the blog for us all to see. They are all the basic same pattern, but different colors. So now everytime I look at my arm I will think of my mom and my sisters and I'll always be reminded of the trip.

I've got to go get the girls ready for camp. I'll catch up with you all later. Love you all!!!
