Ok, so if this is supposed to be a way for everyone to keep in touch with each other and tell everyone what's going on in our lives, doesn't it work better if we actually post messages every now and again. I know we are all busy, and I'm one of the worst for not email people, but this blog started so well, and we all seem to have given up on it lately.
So here's my input. Things are pretty much back to normal now after my week of visitors. The kids are back to regularly trying to kill each other. It's officially spring and now the rain has started. My house is a mess and I have loads of laundry to put away!
But on the bright side, Liam had a football match this morning and they won 4-0. Liam scored a great goal and they all played really well. Their team is 1st in their league, and I don't think they've actually lost a game all season. Not bad. The sun was even shining for most of the morning, before the rain came, and I think that put them all in a really energetic mood.
Shannon took part in a "hair fashion show" last night, put on by our local hairdressing salon, where a friend of ours works. She got to have her hair and make-up done and got to get dressed up and walk up and down the catwalk in front of a couple hundred people. She loved it, really enjoyed herself, and looked beautiful of course! If I can get hold of some pictures I will share them (I had no film in my camera, so I couldn't take any, but my friend Kate has some). The whole event was a fund-raiser for Cancer Research UK, so it was a worthy cause, and one rather close to our hearts at the moment. For those of you I haven't spoken to, we found out last week that Jason's grandmother has lung cancer, and it's pretty much untreatable. She's doing fairly well at the moment, the doctors are trying to get her onto a pain management program to make things a bit more comfortable for her as she's been in quite a bit of pain for several months now. So we're trying to be optimistic, but Jason is very upset about the whole thing, as I'm sure you can imagine. He has always been very close to his grandparents, even closer than his parents, so he's taking it pretty hard. We have decided not to tell Shannon and Liam too many details until it's a bit more serious. They know she's very ill and that's probably enough for them to cope with for now.
So anyway, that's me up to date I guess. I will try and practice what I preach and post again soon. I love you all, Heather
