Bike, Day 3

We spent a good two hours working on the bike today. The oil filter did not want to come off. Ofcourse it sits between the two front pieces of the frame and we could not jockey the motor out around it.

After finaly getting the oil filter cover off, the motor slipped right out. Now we just need a new oil filter cover and bolt...

And here she sits. Just waiting to go to the basement and let Amber have her way with her. We are going to get Amber a shop amnual and let her teardown the motor and rebuild it. Keep your fingers crossed.

Bike, Day 2

Started the teardown of the bike.

Amber is learning more than I think she is.

The motor is just about ready to come out. Getting the air cleaner box and carbs where a real pain.

Amber has more than enough work cutout for her.

New Bike

Hey all, guess what we did? We bought a motorcycle. It's a fixer-upper for sure, but shows promise. For the price, we just couldn't turn in down. It's a 1978 Honda CB550K four cylinder. Only has 5500 original miles on it, all driven in the early 80's! The registration sticker on the South Dakota license plate is for 1983. Em took some pictures so you could see:

I'll keep you posted on our progress and we'll keep adding pictures for you to see. Talk to you soon.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Good morning to all! Especially to all the wonderful mothers that I know. I am truly blessed to have you all as part of my life, you make it easier for me to be a mother. It's nice to have so many other mothers to talk with and to help me solve problems. I love you all and hope your day is wonderful!! Rest up and enjoy. And to the rest of you that have wonderful mothers (and wives) make sure you tell them how great they are! I'm going to enjoy my coffee (made and delivered by my girls!) and rest up myself. Talk to you soon.

** Party **

This is FINAL.

The family party for the girls is this Saturday, 13 May 2006. We tried to work around other people's schedules and IT DOES NOT WORK ! ! ! ! ! !

If this does not work for you, YOU can explain it to Autumn and Summer.

Have a nice day.

Fayth,
How exciting for you all! Starting kindergarten is a big thing, he'll love it! I think it's cool for Sydney too, Autumn has always wanted to play soccer, but they charge so much that we couldn't afford for both to play, so neither do. That and they have sign-ups in Feb for the season that starts in May. I don't know, maybe next year.

Not too much going on here. The weather is being unpredictable, like usual. We've had a couple of high 70s days and now we're going back into the 50s and rain. Em's happy, he hopes the new grass out back will grow with days of rain. I'm not too happy, walking to school in the rain sucks! Oh well, we won't melt!!

Hope you all have a great week! Love you

Kindergarten & Soccer

Well, we've had a lot of signing up for things around here. I guess it's just been registration time. First off, over the weekend we signed Sydney up for soccer over the summer. She's been wanting to play for ages, but we have a lot going on in the evenings already during school and I didn't want her to miss out on girl scouts or anything, so we hadn't really looked into it before. But then I found this club that has spring, summer, and fall programs. And the summer one doesn't start games until after school's out and only goes till the end of July, so that's what we're going to try. And the cool thing is that her friend Casey (Mona's daughter) who she's known since they went to playschool together, is going to play too. It's nice for them because they go to different schools now and don't really get to see each other a lot. And plus, then I'll have someone to talk to at the practices! And more importantly, Ethan will have someone to play with, Casey's little brother Sam! So that should be fun. We should be hearing from the coaches in the next week or two and find out what teams they're on and all that good stuff. She's just excited about what color her uniform is going to be! Such a girl!

Well, the other big news is that we registered Ethan for Kindergarten yesterday! It's so hard to believe that my baby's finally going to school! Not that he's not so totally ready, it's just that he's my baby! Just weird, that's all. He thought it was cool though, kept telling everyone that he signed up to go to Sydney's school. And I got lucky because I was hoping to get him into the afternoon class (they have two morning classes and one afternoon class) because I think in a lot of ways that'll be easier for us, and they told me that they put all walkers in the afternoon because they only have the bus for the kindergarten in the morning. Now we'll just have to see what teacher he ends up with. The teacher Sydney had only teaches mornings and the afternoon teacher this year (who I wanted him to have because I have heard great things about her) won't be here next year because she's going on maternity leave. So there'll be a new teacher coming in, but no one knows who yet. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

So, my babies are growing up around here! Guess that's my news! Plus I want to steal somebody's sunshine, it's cold here again! Supposed to be warmer again by the middle of the week, but then it looks like it's going to go to crap and rain for the weekend and all next week! Yuk! See, this is what I knew would happen. We'd have nice warm weather and that would just tease us because there's no way it's hanging around. I think it makes the colder weather a little harder to take. Just makes it suck a little more because you know how nice it could be! Oh well, that's enough complaining outta me! Hope all is well for you all!

It's May!!

Good morning to all!
I can't believe it's the 2nd of May already. This year is flying by so fast. Less than 2 weeks until Autumn's birthday (she keeps reminding me!) and Summer's 3 weeks after that. Then about 3 weeks after that school will be out. There is going to be so much going on it'll be crazy. I'm just glad that the weather has finally decided to cooperate here. We'll get rain again, but it'll hopefully stay warm. I like to be able to wear sandals again.
I hope that everyone is having a nice week, so far so good here. I'll catch up with you later!
Love you all
