Pictures from Mom's Last Visit

Ok, finally got it to work - it's a horrible picture of me, but you all know what I look like anyway, so doesn't matter! It was nice to get to see Mom one last time before she moves stateside. Don't know how long it will be before we see her again, so it was a bit of a sad parting! (We already have plans to send Shannon and Liam to her for the summer when they are old enough, though!)

Here she is with the kids - it was in the morning of her last day and we had to quick pin them down before they left for school, so they are both in their uniforms - Shannon is a typical moody almost teenager, so no chance of a smile or anything!

Help!

I'm trying to upload some photos, and everytime I do it keeps going to the Google search page! What the hell is wrong with this thing?

Mom's Tattoo

We managed to get a picture of Mom's endless love knot while she was here last week. I will post some photos of her with the kids soon as well.

Aquarium

We have just setup our joint birthday presant to each other. It is a 55 gallon tank with just a handful of fish to begin with. The twenty gallon tank is still setup and there is some debate on whether we will keep them both up.

First Day of School!

Hey all, its finally here! Yesterday was my first day back, to prepare for the kids, today is their first day. We had Kindergarten orientation yesterday, it still surprises me how little the new ones can be!! As it stands right now, I'm going to be traveling between 2 classrooms, possibly 3, depending on how many special ed kids come into the school. One classroom will be the K class I've been in for the last couple of years, and the other is 1st grade. I'm assigned to 2 kids from our class last year that are in the 1st grade, so that'll be nice to see how they do in there. I'm not used to going to other classes, so that'll take some getting used to, but I'm looking forward to it.
The girls are bouncing of the walls! They had such a hard time going to sleep last night. They have their bags packed and their clothes picked out. Autumn was on the phone talking yesterday about what she is wearing and how she is doing her hair! I can't believe she's going into 3rd grade. Summer seems to be a little less worked up about it all. We'll see how she is this morning! She's excited about 2nd grade though.
I'll try to get back on and let you all know how today went. I should go get ready now, the girls will be up before I know it! Love to you all!

Meeting a celebrity...

Ok, so I don't know if any of you will even know who he is, but the other day we got to meet Joe Nemecheck! He's a Nascar driver, he drives the 01 Army car. He was up at our PX this week. The kids and I drove up there, picked up Bryan from work at lunchtime, and headed over. We only had to stand in line about 15 minutes, not too bad. The kids thought it was pretty neat, they each got an autographed poster made out to them from him. And of course Bryan got one for himself to go in the garage! It was just kind of cool to get to meet and shake hands with someone you see on TV, you know? But then again, as Sydney pointed out, it wasn't Tony Stewart! Ha ha!
